LEAD WEIGHTS
A concept of weight is central in traditional jewellery; value is ascribed to individual pieces based on the weight of their precious metal and stone content.
Yet for the wearer it goes mostly un-noticed. For them, the hug of the ring is felt most by its absence. By using lead to weight the pieces, the wearers attention is drawn to this physicality, and to the relationship between the wearer and object.
